At 9 am on October 1st of the UAE time, Expo Dubai 2020 China Pavilion was opened. Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Commissioner General of the China Pavilion, Ni Jian, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, Li Xuhang, Consul General of China in Dubai, and the distinguished guests from Bureau International des Expositions, Dubai Expo 2020 Higher Committee and others attended the ceremony. Zheng Yimin, Vice President of China Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group and Chairwoman of Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Cooperation and Investment Company (JOCIC), was invited to the opening ceremony.
JOCIC, as the senior sponsor of China Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020, will exhibit China-UAE Industrial Capacity Demonstration Zone (ICCDZ) on the first floor of China Pavilion during the Expo. With the theme of “Hand in Hand for A Better Future” and the thread of the “Belt and Road” international cooperation, JOCIC’s exhibition, centering on the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, is to showcase the great efforts made by Jiangsu in constructing ICCDZ and enhancing exchange and cooperation between China and the UAE. Jiangsu, located at the meeting point of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, has made every endeavor to participate in the “Belt and Road” construction and carry out international cooperation in a high-quality and all-around manner.
In addition, JOCIC will hold a special event during Jiangsu Week of the Expo. To further promote ICCDZ, representatives of key enterprises going global, Chinese enterprises in the Middle East and North Africa, companies from the UAE and the neighboring countries will be invited to the event.
